I'll concede I don't know the rules, but if one is bumping you from behind, isn't that the signal that you are supposed to get out of the way since the guy bumping you is obviously faster?

You're not allowed to slam into somebody in a slow corner effectively pushing them wide so you can sneak up the inside. If that were legal you'd see everyone crashing the car in front of them at the last turn of most races...

It's racing, you are never supposed to get out of the way
Bumping from behind is a fault in pretty much all leagues I know off. It is dangerous and you could clear the entire field in a single lap doing it. |

Lets say the corvette bumped the Porsche in the last turn and took the win in the straightaway, will the victory be handed over to the Porsche instead of the Corvette?

In this case, probably the corvette would have kept the victory (hence the over the top reaction the Porsche), but would have been handed a warning for next race (that is, any aggressive behavior then gets you an automatic stop and go in the pit).
When it happens earlier in the race, the stewards often distribute stop and go penalty, which basically sends the offender deep in the pack, so as to make it not worth it. |

I know this clown is banned but he is only partially correct. The Porsche and Vette did not run in the same class until 2009. Porsche was in GT/GT2 up until then and won the Championship 5 out of 7 years. The Vette ran in GTS/GT1 and was only opposed by Aston Martin (if I recall) in each of those years. The Vette did win each year. Since the two ran in the same class (2009-2013), Vette has two Championships, BMW has two and Porsche has one. The Vette has a fantastic racing heritage, but it is not better than Porsche. |

It also won the GT/GT2 class 9 out of the 14 year it was running. No on else comes close. BMW, Chevy and Ferrari combined dont match the racing heritage Porsche has. |

rubbin's racing...
that said, I was rooting for the Porsche. The Corvette was the better car, but needed a better driver to get around the Porsche. Porsche had right of line on that track out. The Corvette might have pulled it if he went inside (driver's right). With that brief loss of traction in the Porsche, the faster (slightly) Corvette would probably have taken the checkers.
