Apparently the new M5 will be available for drives and rental in Munich directly with the factory. As I am going to Germany obviously I am going to drive it.

When I do I will post my thoughts in comparison to the F90. I like the thread from the O.P. and his thoughts lets see.

I have a feeling I wont be as positive but who knows

Could a G90 owner please report on the settings available in the audio settings?

Does it have EQ?

Are the DSP options? What are they?

Thanks!

Yes there is a an EQ, DSP is logic 7 and you can choose the level of surround for customize the intensity and also able to turn dsp aka logic 7 off.

This. I haven’t charged mine in 8 days. I just use M1 and it actually increases the battery. Rinse and repeat until I get my side of the garage situated lol.

Thanks. So it basically sounds like the same DSP setup as the F90 B&W.

Mine was a 2019 so I don’t know what sort of updates they did in the lci. But the setup is very similar to the HK I had in the m3/m4

Really theres no upper backseat adjustment? I read somewhere else the other day that there was and that the seat adjustment in the G90 is exactly the same as it was in the F90? I need that upper back adjustment i have mine adjusted alot it helps alot for me and my touring is first at my dealer so Jan production

Edit- just learned its in the idrive rather than on the side like the f90

Are we sure that the seat massage functionality is not buried somewhere in the iDrive settings...wishful thinking...

The seat bolstering sure is buried deep.. so wishful thinking is justified. I’m still thinking there is a setting somewhere to glow my bw front speakers… another wishful thinking

I still haven't located it. The settings in the idrive only control the sides and lower extension part of the seat.

Had leather on over 90% of the interior. I miss that one.
This is quite unfortunate. The lack of Upper back adjustment and completely removing Soft Close Doors flat out sucks!

I was torn between the full black wheels or the other design (two tone) on my Frozen deep grey, every time I show pics of the car with different wheel I get the same response, why the front wheel look very small? But thats a problem Ill deal with when the car arrives.

[QUOTE=KASM3;31688890]I am also 2 weeks into my G90. MBB

I had a MBB 2021 LCI F90…

Thank you for your comments. Very insightful. The wait until I can take delivery is killing me!

To your piece about the fuel economy /hybrid use… this may help… my last car was a 545e. Best fuel economy was achieved as follows:
  1. Plug vehicle in when not in use, especially overnight regardless of battery charge state
  2. Use the myBMW App to schedule your departure. Do this well in advance if you know when you’ll be leaving for sure or even 5mins before if unknown -this allows the car & battery to be pre-heated (or in Summer, the cabin to be cooled) using your home’s electricity. This lessens battery demands for heating the cabin and optimises the battery performance.
  3. Drive in ‘Hybrid’ mode (I am unsure if it offers an ‘ecoPro’ mode but use that if it does)
  4. Adjust the regenerative braking to a level that you can live with and anticipate your speed requirement so changes in speed are minimised. Essentially, accelerate as little as possible and brake as little as possible.
  5. Set all destinations into your BMW nav (as opposed to the likes of WAZE using smartphone). This triggers ‘anticipation’ mode where terrain topography informs vehicle systems when to assist the ICE to maximise efficiency and retain battery charge for urban destinations etc.

Doing this will give you fantastic efficiency and dramatically reduce your gas consumption.

Obviously, there’ll be times when you wanna let loose, but for the daily commute… try above.

Found it at an out of state dealer. Not bad for a stock wheel. My F90 competition wheels were some of my favorite stock wheels I’ve had. I’ll be shopping for another set shortly.

I can’t wait to start seeing these on aftermarket wheels. I think 21’s might be as big as we can go through. I’m not sure there is a tire with an adequate load rating in any sizes bigger than 21.

I am going to start looking into options.
If 22’s could work on all 4 corners I’m afraid it would sacrifice too much ride quality. Thinking either 21’s around or 21’s and 22’s.

If you're near the Tristate or Pennsylvania specifically, I'd be interested in swapping you my Jet Black wheels if it's no difference to you. I already have the car in my garage with 40 miles on it.
