💯.. if mhd or adjusting Og parameters def voids warranty. Funny story .. One time I bought a certified bmw 328 f30 from a bmw dealership w/ $450 injen cold air intake, which they had no idea about. They must’ve of taken it in wo notice so that should tell u

Here in NJ, between the two dealers I go to, they’ve never even mentioned my piggybacks, turbo inlets, x-pipes, charge pipes, axle-backs, etc., even for drivetrain issues. The very few times they’ve narrowed it down to any mods, they just let me know that’s what they think it might be, and I take it to my shop to sort out. It’s a bummer not every dealer is like this!

Yeap, there are some mods friendly dealership and some that are an ass to the dot.

I think most dealers don’t sweat aftermarket parts. It’s when you have an expensive issue, your dealer has Zero to do with the warranty coverage. They are going to BMW NA and then your fucked. Went through the hole process with my Crank hub. Doesn’t matter if your boys with the Service dude or any of that shit.

I second the defect from the factory. Way back in the late 90's my RX7 catch fire on the 5 with less than 5,000 miles on the odometer presumably due to a loose/defective fuel line presumably from the factory b/c I never once touched anything to do with the fuel system.

Funny thing- no cellphones so I ran to one of the blue emergency call boxes. Woman answered and I was yelling, "My car caught fire!" Woman says, "You've got a flat tire?" Me, "No, the damned thing CAUGHT FIRE!"

Engine is the same as G09 XM, G05/G06/G07 X5/X6/X7 M60i, F95/F95 LCI X5M/X6M, and many others.
We have plenty of data from S68.
Especially S68 Hybrid Engine since I have G09 XM and we have spent enough time collecting data and testing. Had RaceChip on my XM since first month after the break-in period and it has been 18 months on it flawlessly.
Is the RaceChp noticeable in your XM? I feel like this extra 91 whp won’t make a huge difference.

P.S. Waiting on the secondary downpipes from you guys, and then I will start looking for a reputable tuner before installing the primary downpipes.

I can feel a big difference.
From the car being sluggish and heavy, to being easy to get it going and didn’t feel like it is 6000LBS.
Took a few of my G80 customers in it, they were shock that it actually moves.

It is. I had a 2019 F90 M5 and went in for second oil change and dealer forgot to torque down the oil pan drain plug and it worked itself out within a day and all the oil drained out. Dealer had to file an insurance claim and it was $47K to replace the engine with parts and labor. Was around 60 parts with all the one-time use bolts!

Yeap, seen many of that coming to my shop. Wet belly pan, extra bolts, nuts, etc. Loose bolts, nuts. Sometime even straight from the factory.
So, before getting scared on not super aggressive and reliable power mods, be scared for buying a BMW or any newer cars in general.
Things just doesn't build the same anymore. The 90's German cars are the best build and material quality IMO.
