I have been wanting to get FiOS for myself, but it is not available at my home yet. Strange, because it is available for just about every neighborhood around me, just not mine! I called VZ about it and they said it should be available late this year. I'm looking forward to getting rid of DSL and getting FiOS. I think I'll get the same speed as you. They also offer digital TV service -- I have a friend who has it for phone, TV, and Internet, and he loves it. Congrats on the speedy connection. Goes well with your BMW.

Actually, it's not unlimited. The distribution fiber hubs in your local area are limited to somewhere in the range of 110mbps. So considering most people get 15mbps, good luck doing much more if a couple people are simultaneously downloading lots of content.

My best was out of Chicago. Just under 10kpbs DOWN and just under 6kpbs UP. Most of the other servers got me between 6-8 down and mid 500 up. West coast servers were the worst but I still got between 4-6 down and still mid 500 up.
I have Cox Communications Cable with the middle speed of the 3 speeds they offer.
