easy.

a bench/role player for the nba for 10+ seasons. bad enough to not be a starter, but good enough to ride the pine and have a court side seat all season long. travel all across america and sometimes the world on someone elses dime while having most of my food paid for. have elite health care. once im washed up, ill become an assistant coach and get the same view and accommodations as before. that will last 2-3 years and then ill just become an analyst for espn or nbc. by that time, i would have already invested millions in several food chains in my local home town or town of whatever college i went to where i earned the nickname "the beagle" or "the beags". i will have a trophy wife to whom i cheat on for classless women and 3 children who despise me. i compensate that by trying to buy their love and spend most of my days on the golf course getting drunk. i later become mayor of that town and become involved in what becomes the most bizarre scandal in all of the county.

i havent thought about this much

I think riding a MOTOGP bike is up there when it comes to skill, balls, fitness, reaction etc. Just watch some videos etc. They may make it look easy, but fuck is absolutely insane. Especially at the pace they do it at.

High school?

Both my friends lost their scholarships from dislocating their necks in football.

The whole point of my comment is, you have a higher chance of hurting yourself in football and basketball then baseball.

I have no idea, but I can stop laughing at the fact people actually get injured in baseball. You stand in 2ft' x 2ft' square with seeds in your mouth.

i havent thought about this much
what position would you play and why "the beagle"?

If I had to choose, I choose pg because I don't want to be super tall.

For the record (I have no idea whats the record for the fastest baseball hit on a players body.) But Id rather get hit by 80 mph ball in the arm or leg.

Instead of this..

This guy actually lost MEMORY FROM THIS HIT.

I know football is a tough sport, I was arguing baseball ISNT sitting around kicking dirt and spitting seeds

and there are guys throwing 105 now, take that to the back of the head you will go to the hospital only because the helmet saved your life, BAB(ball off bat speed) averages about 110 in the MLB, and heavy hitters like Pujols and Arod are in the 120's

take that in the face and see how bad it is

memory how about never smelling or tasting ever again AND memory lost

The comment I made about kicking dirt, etc. wasnt on point. It was a broad general statement of players (compared to other sport players) are not doing much.

Please show me how many incidents or a video of a ball hitting a head. The baseball helmets are rock. Are you talking about a ricochet? And if so, what are the chances of that happening 10 out of 100 times.

compare that to a running back not wearing a helmet and playing one quarter. Complete suicide.

F1 or MotoGP. I've already done a stint as a semi-pro WERA racer, and loved that year of my life.

I have to agree that baseball is one of the toughest sports to get injured on (besides sliding into a base or the very little contact made). If you pay attention, the 90ft or whatever the mound is away from the plate gives plenty of reaction time.

Basketball is about the same, unless you count rolling or twisting your ankel a real injury.

Soccer is about the same... you can break bones easier from contact through sliding a stuff just because it happens more often (talking college and prior, not so much in the higher leagues)

Football players wear so many pads it takes one heck of a hit to get a decent injury as well, unless you just open yourself up to the hit like quarterbacks seem to do a lot.

Want a dangerous sport then watch some rugby.

I played soccer competitively for a long time so I'd probably do soccer in the EPL or professional golfer. Both of those are pretty well paying and fun sports.

Yes and No.

Go look at the average retirement age for football players compared to everything else. Just becuase they wear pads doesnt mean they are not sill hurt. They muscles cannot take beatings over a rate of time. hence I Think the average age is about 35. Which is so young.

MLB outfielder or closer. Then Tennis. Hockey would be fun, but I enjoy having teeth and an IQ above 70.

Average age of retirement maybe, not of life. Plus, when did we get into age of death/retirement? We were talking about injuries due to playing the sport, not general wear and tear. I agree football is a physically taxing sport, I just don't think it is as dangerous short term as most make it out to be.

I thought we were keeping it Pro-MLB?

I can post mixtapes of every month a high school football, bball player get knocked out.

But it comes down to this. The first video you posted of that 100mph hit in the head. If you call whoever is in charge of that field and ask them how many times something like that has happen. Its not ganna be more than 5, if even that.

NFL Linebacker no doubt about it. Absolutely the most feared player on the field, at like 6'3 250 running a 4.4 40 you are the equivlent of a speeding car. I played free saftey in JUCO and always wished I had 3 more inches on me and about 40lbs.....

I have so much respect for quarterbacks and RB's, I would have nightmares after the games. Scary people
