I am also a former owner of an m550 and it was an awesome car. I upgrade to a F90C a couple years ago. For the 550e, it is impressive and keeps weight under 5000lb, so it is quite a bit lighter than the G90. But it is quite slow even compared to the m550. I saw the 550e is 0-200kph at 15.25s, the m550 did that in 12s. So, it looks like a very capable business sedan but not a sports car.

Its a 10.3s car from 100-200 and 4.8 0-100
I mean thats plenty quick. We have become spoiled to the point that doesnt seem quick, but in reality its practically E60 M5 quick. |

My thoughts:
This is going to be the 996 generation of the m5. Porsche’s first attempt at a liquid cooled 911 has been the red headed step child of the 911 for 20+ years. It was just a bad car, all around. The good news; the next gen m5 will probably follow the 997 911, a great car all around and the prior gen (F90) will appreciate significantly, just like 993 911s. The bad news; the G90 m5 is just a bad car. It’s the transition generation, a step in the right direction but unfortunately the sacrificial lamb in the evolution of the m5. Of course just my opinion. I’ve got a F90 m5cs…and absolutely love it. I’m sure BMW will learn and course correct, I’m a lifelong BMW fan and will continue to support the brand. |

I don't know. I like the way it looks and don't mind the hybrid drivetrain. It's just crazy to me that an armored humvee weighs less than this car.

The new model may be fatter and slower, but the looks are strictly in the eyes of the beholder and I think the new car's look is FIRE
