2022 BMW M5  [8.83]
2015 X5M  [9.50]
Saw G90 first time today, very sad, nothing positive here.

Exterior: front doesn’t look that bad, but rear looks bloated unproportial ugly.

Interior: Everything cheap, leather feels from G20, Plastics Cheap like on G20, speaker covers felt like from Toyota Tundra.

No soft close doors, no rear comfort access, sounds bad.

I guess everyone who liked this car is just because of Hybrid assist from take off (no lag) that’s all.

I remember when I first saw F90 back in 2018 when I had LCI F10 M5, I loved F90 and really wanted one, I didn’t feel this with G90….

I feel like they needed to make a M7 with this hybrid drivetrain for those people who require all the luxury bells and whistles in their M car instead of the XM monstrosity.

Who ever bought that car must be really kicking themselves in the a$% for buying red interior. It's just flat out awful on the eyes

I think the answer has to be "NO" given what is shown in the press release photo showing the back of the front seats -- the top part of the seat is fixed/connected (i.e., cannot articulate relative) to the bottom part of the seat...

Well, that bright red interior on a darker red exterior is a big turn off for sure, it really made me wanna throw up

It is not. I am currently in Germany and I got to experience the car and will be further testing it. It is a great car, but it is nowhere as nice as the F90 in the interior. I will be posting my thoughts in more detail later

Main takeway, its heavy and it feels during extreme cornering and braking, incredibly supple and comfortable, extremely powerful, handles ok, I would say this car somewhere in between a F90 M5 and a G11 M760Li.

Not only that, it feels cheap in touch as well, interior might look better once they release full leather with different color combo options I guess.

New M5 not classy executive performance car anymore, it’s more “Look at me now” car with cheap interior.

Another point out for exterior, window molding doubleface tape was already lose on new car, few winters and thay widnshield rubber will come off and wind noise will be mad. Lol

Thus far the only knocks I'm seeing for me personally:

No Soft Close Doors
Leather quality is Questionable and the Seats aren't as articulating
More color options exterior and interior

I may have to be patient and see what the 26' does...

Yeah I heard about the bad quality interior from many friends for the new 5 series across the board.

Though tbh I think the G90 M5's exterior looks spectacular especially the rear lights they sit higher on the rear than the F90 which look more masculine.
But no comment on the stupid charging flap in the front fender and the illuminating front grill wtf BMW

M760Li is a proper boat but you’re right it’s somewhere in the middle. It’s definitely not a track car although I’m curious what it would do around the ring. And it’s not a straight liner only either, it’s a highway/city racer lol… but that’s not a thing though.

Sorry to report but since I daily drive on dynamic plus and very spirited but safely, I’m getting 13 mpg’s. 🙊 and I’m out of town this week, handed the keys to wifey to drive around with a full tank. Let’s see what she does, assuming she drives on hybrid or dynamic which I showed her… Will report back with that too

Leather quality is not questionable, it feels modern and more usable than the previous one. Not sure if there are leather experts here, but the lack of suppleness doesn’t mean it’s bad, it’s high quality but geared more for performance. Kind like furniture now a days, they make them for performance it costs more… I am actually liking it. My 2023 m4 and my 2019 m5 comp bought had a wave ripple on the seats a week or two in.. leather was top notch but it wasn’t meant for use..
