Carwow has become unwatchable. A bunch of novices holding the launch control way too long, always a crappy track surface, and using the worst launch from the BMW as the timed run???

But as a BMW FANBOY who has owned 7 BMWs since 2011 including M3/M4/M6/M8 ,If for any reason I want to trade my amazing M8 in for other BMW , I will definitely pick G8x instead of G90.

I hear you on this: I bought a F80C instead of the F90 since I saw the F80 as a “old” 5 series back in 2018. I now drive the G80CS and you know what: it’s faster than this new M5. Carwow measured its quartermile to 11.1! And its very comfy, sounds great, have tons of street cred, seats 5 - and I can park it anywhere.

Not an option for the use case for taxes. GTS has no EV range, nor could the gts take a battery for EV range, without drastic changes.


I hope they go the GTS route on the M3 and M2 tho

If we assume that the new M5 has 585 ps of internal combustion engine power then the performance is very good and the vehicle is fast, but if we say that this vehicle has more than 720 ps then it is not fast and the performance is very poor...

Same boat as you.

At this point, I would move to something other than the G90 M5 when my M8 GC lease is up.

Right now I am leaning towards a X7 Alpina.
