The Rs6 is fast but doesn't feel fast at all because it'a massive boat and the "practical" aspect of it highly questionable as the rear seat space is quite small
I'm 6'4" and fit in the back of my RS6 with room to spare. It's been a very nice car to own and I think the interior is very well put together and appointed with a nice variation of high quality materials, especially the seat leather. It's very practically laid out in a way that BMWs of yesterday were practical and utilitarian.

The driving dynamics are very muted though relative to a BMW. This is the main reason I never completed my connection with this car and the main reason I'm going to part ways to make room for the M5T.

Just because something is somewhat original doesn't make it automatically good or desirable in my opinion...

That's crazy, because I am 5'10" and sat in the back of one and it felt cramped to my legs... certainly not even close to even a small SUV a'la X3. Then he pushed and pushed in terms of power and again... it just felt like an aircraft carrier moving thru the seas to me. My understanding was that the Rs6 was to be "more" dynamic... I didn't get that feeling at all... so I am just not clear where the hype came from. Curious on your opinion vs new M5T... as it adds on another 1000 lbs which is just absurd imho.

Completely agree. Just Europeans have a soft spot for that kind of cars. The first RS6 models looked like sleepers, with just a bit sportier bumpers, grill, wheels and so on (regular people won't even spot the difference).

We just like fast wagons, which is a rare sight.

Btw, BMW always felt sportier and aggressive.

That's so strange. We have 2023 X5 45e and I feel like the RS6 has just as much, of not more, room in the rear than the X5.

The RS6 is certainly more dynamic......than other typical Audis at the time which suffer from understeer and steering feel issues due to quattro. Throttle mapping, transmission mapping, and braking feel also left something to be desired in the typical Audi. Capable cars but just not as immediate and accurate as a BMW. Rear wheel steering helped the RS6 along with plenty of power and some revised throttle and transmission mappings.

I cannot wait to see how the M5T is....hopefully by end of May/early June with a week 15 build. I did one lapping session with the RS6 (the tires were crying uncle by the end), and will also do one with the M5T after run-in. Will post the group then.

I can probably deal with the RS6 being slower if it didn't handle so poorly. Audi really needs to figure out how to put the engine BEHIND the front axle not in front of it.

Is a hybrid powertrain a requirement for car sales in Europe?

Color the steering wheel black and it becomes an M sport. All the sudden the stupid display they have on the current M5 looks like 10/10.
